These reporting guidelines define what to include when disseminating Evidence-Based Practice Program Evaluation (EBPPE) and Evidence-Based Practice Policy Analysis (EBPPA) initiatives. They cover the full arc of an initiative—from articulating the problem and local context, through external evidence review and internal data, to aims, methods, measures/analysis, results, discussion (including value determination), limitations, and conclusions—mapped to an IMRaD structure. The checklists specify 10 components and 19 criteria, and they align with the Mountain Model (Waldrop & Dunlap, 2024) umbrella framework so authors can integrate EBP with rigorous evaluation or policy analysis methods (Waldrop et al., 2026).The EBPPE guideline targets manuscripts reporting evaluation of programs, projects, pathways, or use of guidelines; the EBPPA guideline supports varied outputs but also journal articles. Together they enable transparent, complete, and reproducible reporting.New guidelines are needed because existing resources largely focus on research reporting and do not address the distinctive goals and methods of program evaluation (value determination) or policy analysis. Prior work offers only partial criteria for program evaluations and none for policy analyses, leaving authors without comprehensive, practice-grounded guidance. Inaccurate or incomplete reporting hampers learning, scale-up, and quality improvement across settings. By standardizing how EBPPE and EBPPA are reported—and by pairing with the related EBPQI guideline—these tools strengthen the integrity and usefulness of disseminated work, support consistent inclusion of essential components and accelerate translation of evidence into improved care and policies.
